Go to the Nîmes train station, Gare de Nîmes, located in the city center. Purchase a ticket for the train heading to Avignon Centre. The journey will take around 20 minutes. After arriving at Avignon Centre station, exit and turn left onto Rue des Lices, walking straight until you reach Rue de la République. Turn right, and continue straight until you reach the historic center, where you will find the Remparts d'Avignon.

If you are already in the city center of Nîmes, you can enjoy a leisurely walk to Avignon. Head towards the Rue de la République and follow it until you reach the Place de l'Horloge. From there, continue straight towards the Pont Saint-Bénézet. The Remparts d'Avignon are located just past the bridge. It will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Avignon by foot, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
