Bus
From the center of Nîmes, walk to the 'Gare Routière' bus station located at 33 Avenue Feuchères, which is about a 10-minute walk from the Maison Carrée. Once at the bus station, take the bus line 3 towards 'Arles'. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at 'Arles Gare SNCF' stop. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Pl. Lamartine. Head northeast on Avenue des Alès, continue onto Rue de la République, and then turn left onto Pl. Lamartine.
Train
Head to the Nîmes train station ('Gare de Nîmes') which is a short 5-minute walk from the city center. Purchase a ticket for a train to Arles. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Arles station, exit the station and walk southwest for about 15 minutes along Avenue des Alès, continue onto Rue de la République, and finally turn left onto Pl. Lamartine.
Walking
If you're in the historic center of Nîmes, you can enjoy a pleasant walk to Arles. Start at the Maison Carrée, head south on Rue de la République, and walk towards the direction of Arles. It will take you about 1.5 to 2 hours to walk the approximately 30 km, but you will experience beautiful landscapes and charming villages along the way.
