Metro
From any central metro station in Paris, head to the nearest Metro line that connects to Line 13. If you are near Châtelet-Les Halles, take Line 1 towards La Défense and transfer at Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre to Line 7 towards La Courneuve - 8 Mai 1945. Then, at La Courneuve - 8 Mai 1945, change to Line 13 towards Saint-Denis - Université. Get off at Saint-Denis - Porte de Paris station. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the Basilica Cathedral of Saint Denis. Exit the station and head north on Avenue de la République, then turn left onto Rue de la Légion d'Honneur.

If you prefer to take the bus, find a nearby bus stop that services lines 153 or 239. Take either bus towards the direction of Saint-Denis. You can board at various points in central Paris, such as Gare Saint-Lazare. Get off at the 'Saint-Denis - Basilique' stop, which is close to the Basilica Cathedral. From there, it's just a short walk along Rue de la Légion d'Honneur to reach the entrance of the cathedral.

You can also take the RER train from central Paris. If you are near Châtelet-Les Halles or Gare de Lyon, take the RER D towards Creil or Orry-la-Ville. Get off at the 'Saint-Denis' station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk towards Rue de la Légion d'Honneur. It should take about 10 minutes to reach the Basilica Cathedral from the station.
