Getting There

• Metro

  To reach Monument à la République, start by finding the nearest Metro station. If you're close to the center, you can take Line 3, Line 5, Line 8, or Line 9. For example, if you're at Châtelet station, take Line 11 (the purple line) towards Mairie des Lilas and get off at République station. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs for 'Place de la République.' The monument will be directly in front of you as you emerge into the square.

• Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus, locate the nearest bus stop. You can take bus number 75 or 56. For example, if you are near Gare de l'Est, take bus 75 towards Opéra and get off at the République stop. After disembarking, walk towards the large square, and you will see the Monument à la République right in front of you.

• Walking

  If you are nearby, you can enjoy a pleasant walk to the Monument à la République. For instance, if you are at Canal Saint-Martin, head south towards Rue de la République. Continue straight until you reach the square. The monument will be hard to miss, standing majestically in the center of the Place de la République.

• Bicycle

  To reach the Monument à la République by bicycle, you can use the city’s bike-sharing service, Vélib. Look for a nearby Vélib station and rent a bike. Head towards Boulevard du Temple, then take a left on Rue du Faubourg du Temple. Continue straight until you reach the large square. There are bike lanes available, and you can lock your bike at designated spots around the monument.
