Getting There

    From the Louvre Museum, exit through the main entrance (Pyramide du Louvre) and head towards the Tuileries Garden. Once inside the garden, walk straight along the central pathway, enjoying the beautiful landscaping and sculptures. Continue walking until you reach the Place de la Concorde at the western end of the garden. From there, you will see the Seine River on your left. To reach the Statue de Lyon, turn right and walk along the riverbank towards the Pont de la Concorde bridge. Cross the bridge, and the Statue de Lyon is located just past the bridge on your left in the 8th arrondissement.

  • Metro

    If you prefer using the Metro, from the Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre station (Line 1), take the train towards La Défense. Get off at the next stop, which is Châtelet. From Châtelet, transfer to Line 14 and head towards Olympiades. Get off at the next stop, which is Pyramides. From there, walk towards the Rue de Rivoli and head towards the Tuileries Garden. Follow the same walking directions as above from the Tuileries Garden to reach the Statue de Lyon.

  • Bus

    Another option is to take the bus. From the Louvre, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the Palais Royal. Take Bus 72 towards Parc de la Villette. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop called 'Concorde - Madeleine'. From there, you can walk towards the river, cross the Pont de la Concorde, and find the Statue de Lyon just past the bridge on your left.
