Exit at 'Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port' (Exit 3) and follow the D933 road through the picturesque countryside. Continue on D933 until you reach Larrau, then follow signs for Irati Forest. The forest is located just outside of Larrau, at the address 64560 Larrau. Make sure to park in the designated parking areas, as some trails and access points may require walking from the parking lot.

To reach Irati Forest via public transportation, start by taking a train from Bayonne to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. The train journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, you can catch a local bus (Line 6) that heads towards Larrau. Confirm the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends. Once you reach Larrau, you will need to walk approximately 3 km to reach the entrance of Irati Forest. It’s advisable to wear comfortable shoes and bring water for the walk.
