Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Sisteron from your current location in Provence. Use the A51 motorway, which connects major towns in the region. Take the exit towards Sisteron (Exit 21) and follow the signs for Sisteron. Once you reach the town, follow the D107 road, which will lead you to Mnt de la Citadelle where the Citadel is located. There is parking available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.
Train and Walk
If you prefer to use public transportation, take a train to the Sisteron train station. Frequent trains connect Sisteron with major cities in Provence such as Avignon and Marseille. Once you arrive at Sisteron station, exit and head towards the town center. From there, you can either walk or take a local bus towards Mnt de la Citadelle. The walk is approximately 20 minutes uphill, providing you with lovely views of the town.
