    From Auzat, follow the D8 towards Marc, then continue on the D108 towards Étang de Soulcem. The road ends at the Orris du Carla parking area. Be aware that the road may be subject to snow conditions during winter. Parking is free.

    The Vallée de Soulcem is approximately a 30-40 minute drive from the nearest train station. From the train station in Foix, take a local bus or taxi towards Auzat. From Auzat, local buses are limited, so consider a taxi or ride-sharing service to reach the valley. Taxi fares from Auzat to Vallée de Soulcem may range from €20-€30.

    The Vallée de Soulcem, located in Auzat, is an exceptional natural site in the Ariège Pyrenees, bordering Andorra and Spain. The valley presents a diverse panorama, ranging from the Labinas waterfall to the rehabilitated village of Orris and the Soulcem dam. This pastoral area has a rich mountain life, with evidence of human use dating back thousands of years to the Neolithic period. The valley's landscape includes high-altitude lakes and border peaks, attracting hikers and nature enthusiasts. The area is known for its 'Orris', small dry-stone summer dwellings that testify to intense pastoral activity. The Soulcem dam, built between 1980 and 1983, is a significant feature, creating an artificial lake at an altitude of 1,570 meters. This lake serves as a starting point for various hikes and offers stunning views. The valley is also part of a transborder passage, historically used between the Vicdessos valley and Andorra. Visitors can explore numerous trails, including those leading to the Étangs de Roumazet and de la Soucarrane, and the Pic de Médécourbe.
