Discover more about Champagne Le Gallais

Champagne Le Gallais, nestled in the village of Boursault, is a family-run winery with a rich history dating back to 1927. The estate was acquired by Hachod Fringhian, the ancestor of Charlotte Morgain Le Gallais, and was once part of Madame Veuve Clicquot's prestigious holdings. Today, Charlotte and her father, Hervé Le Gallais, represent the fifth generation, passionately crafting champagnes that reflect the unique terroir of the Marne Valley. Visitors are welcomed to the estate for guided tours of the cellars, offering insights into the traditional methods blended with modern techniques used to create Le Gallais champagnes. The tour includes a walk through the vineyards, where you can learn about the vine cultivation and the importance of the argilo-calcareous soil. The winery is certified HVE since 2020, and follows sustainable, low-intervention practices. The highlight of a visit to Champagne Le Gallais is the tasting experience. The tasting rooms offer a 180-degree view of the Marne Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Château de Boursault. Guests can sample several vintages of the property's wines, each with its own distinct story and character. For a more immersive experience, the winery offers workshops such as Champagne & Cheese pairing, the Champagne nose workshop, and even a sabrage workshop. Champagne Le Gallais is located within the walls of the Château de Boursault property. The Château de Boursault itself has a rich history, built between 1843 and 1850 by Madame Clicquot Ponsardin.
