Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Intra-Muros (the walled city), the Ancien Embarcadère is easily accessible on foot. Head towards the sea from Porte Saint-Vincent, the main gate. Once through the gate, walk along the ramparts or the coastal path towards the northwest. The pier is located near the Petit Bé fort.

    If arriving by train or bus at the Gare de Saint-Malo, take bus line 1 or 2 towards Intra-Muros. Get off at the 'Intra-Muros' stop, which is just outside the city walls. From there, follow the walking directions to reach the Ancien Embarcadère. A single bus ticket costs approximately €1.70.

  • Taxi/Ride-sharing

    Taxis are readily available at the Gare de Saint-Malo and other locations in the city. A taxi ride from the train station to the entrance of Intra-Muros will cost approximately €10-€15. From there, it is a short walk to the pier. Ride-sharing services like Uber may also operate in Saint-Malo.
