From the Saint-Malo train station, walk northwest along Avenue Anita Conti, then turn left onto Chaussée du Sillon. Continue along the coast, passing the Grand Plage on your right. Turn left toward the city walls and enter Intra-Muros through the Porte Saint-Vincent. The Château de Saint-Malo is located on Place Chateaubriand, at the northeast corner of the walled city. Walking this route takes approximately 25 minutes. There are no costs associated with this route.

From the Gare de Saint-Malo (train station), take bus line 1 or 2 towards Intra-Muros. Get off at the Intra-Muros stop, which is just outside the city walls. From there, it's a short walk to the Château de Saint-Malo on Place Chateaubriand. A single bus ticket costs €1.35 and is valid for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
