Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the city center of Saint-Malo, you can start at the Saint-Malo Tourist Office located at 1 Rue des Grands Ducs. Head northeast on Rue des Grands Ducs toward Rue de la Monnaie. Turn right onto Rue de la Monnaie and walk straight until you reach the Ramparts of Saint-Malo. Once at the Ramparts, turn left and follow the path along the walls. Continue walking until you see the entrance to the castle area. The castle is located at 9 Pl. Chateaubriand, and you will see its impressive facade as you approach.

    From the beach area, such as Plage de l'Éventail, walk towards the old town (Intra-Muros). Take Rue de la Mer and follow it until you reach the main entrance to the old town. Once inside, navigate towards the central square and head towards the Ramparts. Follow the path along the ramparts until you reach the castle located at 9 Pl. Chateaubriand.
