Walking
If you are starting from the historic city center of Saint-Malo (Intra-Muros), make your way to the main entrance of the city at 'Porte Saint-Vincent'. From there, head southeast towards the beach. After crossing the road, continue straight along the promenade 'Promenade du Sillon' which runs parallel to the beach. Follow the promenade for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the 'Château du Sillon'. The National Fort is located just off the coast near this point. Look for a path leading towards the water and follow it to reach the fort.

Public Transport
From the Saint-Malo train station, take bus line 3 towards 'Saint-Malo - La gare' and get off at 'Sillon'. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you disembark, walk towards the coastline, and you will see the National Fort directly in front of you. Follow the coastal promenade ('Promenade du Sillon') towards the fort.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in the city. Start at 'Place Chateaubriand' and head towards the 'Promenade du Sillon'. Cycle along this promenade, which is a scenic route along the beach. Continue for about 1.5 kilometers, and you will arrive at the area near the National Fort. There are bike racks available for you to lock your bike while you explore the fort.
