Walking
If you are starting from the Saint-Malo train station, exit the station and head towards Rue de la République. Walk straight until you reach the Place de la République. From there, continue onto Rue des Chênes, then turn left onto Rue du Port. Follow this road until you reach the harbor area. Once you are at the harbor, walk along the waterfront towards the old town, crossing the bridge over the river. Walk straight, and you will eventually reach the historical walled city. Enter through the main gate and continue straight until you reach Grand Prte. Big Gate will be on your right, marked by its impressive structure.

If you are at the Citadelle de Saint-Malo, exit the citadel and head towards the coastline. Walk along the ramparts, enjoying the views of the sea and the city. Continue walking along the ramparts until you reach the main entrance of the walled city. Once you are inside the city, make your way to Rue de la Mer and head towards Grand Prte. Big Gate is located at the end of this road, and you can easily identify it by its large archway.

From the Saint-Malo tourist office located at 1 Quai de la République, head towards the waterfront. Walk straight down Quai de la République until you reach the main entrance to the walled city. Once you enter, continue walking straight, and you will come to Grand Prte after a short walk. Big Gate will be visible on your left as you approach.
