Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Saint-Malo train station, exit the station and head towards the main road Rue de la République. Turn left onto Rue de la République and walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach Place de la République. From there, continue straight onto Rue de la Cité and follow it until you reach the ramparts. Once you are at the ramparts, turn right and follow the path along the walls for approximately 800 meters. You will see the entrance to the Fort National on your left. Keep walking along the ramparts until you reach the end, and then turn left onto Rue Guy Louvel. St. Philip Bastion will be located on your right at 1 Rue Guy Louvel.

  • Walking

    If you are at the Intra-Muros (the walled city), start at the Porte Saint-Vincent and walk down Rue de la Corderie. After about 200 meters, take a right onto Rue des Marins and head towards the ramparts. Walk along the ramparts for around 500 meters until you reach the area near Fort National. At this point, turn left onto Rue Guy Louvel, and you will find St. Philip Bastion on your right at 1 Rue Guy Louvel.

    If you are at the beach (Plage de Bon-Secours), walk towards the ramparts at the end of the beach. Once on the ramparts, turn left and walk along the wall for about 1 kilometer. You will pass the Fort National. Continue walking until you reach the end of the ramparts and then turn left onto Rue Guy Louvel. St. Philip Bastion will be on your right at 1 Rue Guy Louvel.
