    From the Carmes area, head towards Rue des Filatiers. Walk straight along this road for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Dalbade. Turn left onto Rue de la Dalbade and continue walking for another 200 meters. You will see the large square, Place Saint-Étienne, where Saint Stephen's Cathedral is located. The cathedral is at the end of the square.
