    If you are in the central area of Versailles, start at the Palace of Versailles (Château de Versailles). Exit the palace grounds and head east on Avenue de Paris. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Rue de Montreuil. Turn left onto Rue de Montreuil and walk for about 500 meters until you reach the train station, Gare de Versailles Rive Gauche. From here, take the RER C train towards Paris and get off at the station 'Invalides'. Then, transfer to metro line 8 at Invalides station and ride towards 'Balard'. After 5 stops, you will arrive at 'Madeleine' station. Exit the station and walk to Place d'Estienne d'Orves, which is approximately a 5-minute walk.
