If you are starting from central Paris, the easiest way to reach the Museum of Romantic Life is by taking the Paris Metro. First, locate the nearest Metro station to you. If you are near the Louvre, for example, walk to Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre station (Line 1). Take Line 1 towards La Défense. At Châtelet station, transfer to Line 14 towards Saint-Lazare. Get off at the next stop, which is Gare Saint-Lazare. From here, you will need to change to Line 3. Board the train towards Gallieni and get off at the next stop, which is Saint-Georges. Exit the station and head north on Rue Saint-Georges. After a short walk, take a left onto Rue Chaptal. The museum will be on your right at number 16.

Another option is to take the bus. If you are near the Palais Garnier (the Opéra), you can catch Bus 68. Board the bus at the Opéra stop and stay on the bus until you reach the stop at Chaptal - Montmartre. From there, it’s just a short walk to the museum. Simply walk back along Rue Chaptal, and the Museum of Romantic Life will be on your left at number 16.

If you are in the Montmartre area, you can easily walk to the Museum of Romantic Life. From the iconic Sacré-Cœur Basilica, head south down Rue du Chevalier de la Barre until you reach Boulevard de Rochechouart. Turn right and walk along the boulevard for a few blocks until you reach Rue Chaptal. Turn left onto Rue Chaptal, and the museum will be on your right at number 16.
