Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Château de Versailles, exit through the main courtyard and follow the signs towards the gardens. The entrance to the park is directly accessible from the gardens. Note that access to the gardens is free, except on days of the Musical Fountains Shows and Musical Gardens. During these events, a separate ticket is required, in addition to the palace entry ticket. Follow signs to specific groves and features within the park.

  • Public Transport

    From any of the Versailles train stations (Versailles Château Rive Gauche, Versailles Rive Droite, or Versailles Chantiers), you can take a bus towards the Château de Versailles. From the bus stop, walk towards the palace and enter the gardens. The park is directly accessible from the gardens. Bus tickets cost approximately €2 per trip. Alternatively, you can walk from the train stations to the palace and gardens. The walk is approximately 10-20 minutes, depending on the station.

  • Driving

    If arriving by car, follow the A13 motorway towards Versailles and take exit number 5 (Versailles Centre). Follow the signs to the Château de Versailles. Parking is available at the Place d'Armes, located directly in front of the palace. Parking costs €4.80 per hour for the first 4 hours, then €2.40 per hour thereafter. Be aware that parking spaces fill up quickly, especially during peak season. Free parking is available for disabled visitors with valid permits.
