    Getting There

    Walking

    From the InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora resort, Matira Beach is a short stroll across the road. From Bloody Mary's restaurant, walk south along the main road for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the beach.

    Public Transport

    Take the Air Tahiti catamaran shuttle from the airport (located on a motu) to the Vaitape dock. From Vaitape, a shuttle to Matira Beach costs around $5 USD. Check with your accommodation for complimentary shuttle service from the Vaitape dock.

    Taxi

    Taxis are readily available from Vaitape to Matira Beach. The fare is approximately $20 USD or 2000 XPF. Agree on the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

    Car/Scooter/Bike

    From Vaitape, follow the main coastal road south for 8km (4 miles) to Matira Beach. Parking is available at both ends of the beach, near the InterContinental Le Moana and by the small stone wall. Bicycle rentals are around $10-$15 USD per day.
