Walking
From the ferry terminal in Moorea, head towards the main road (Route de l'Opunohu). Walk north for about 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route des Ananas. From there, the road winds through the pineapple plantations. Consider that the full route is unpaved and can be long; plan accordingly.
Taxi
Taxis are available at the ferry terminal and major hotels. A taxi to the beginning of the Route des Ananas from the ferry terminal will cost approximately 2000-3000 XPF. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. From there, you can explore the road on foot.
Rental Car
Car rentals are available at the airport and ferry terminal. From the ferry terminal, follow Route de l'Opunohu north for approximately 2 kilometers to the start of Route des Ananas. Be aware that the Route des Ananas is unpaved and can be rough. Rental car rates start around 8,000 XPF per day.
