Getting There
Boat
If you are staying on the island of Moorea, you can take a local boat service from the main ferry terminal in Vaiare. Look for boats that head towards 'Āfareaitu. Once you arrive at the dock in 'Āfareaitu, you will be approximately 10 minutes away from Te Ora Hau Ecolodge. From the dock, head southeast along the coastline, passing local shops and eateries. Follow the main road (PK 8) until you see the ecolodge sign on your left. The lodge is located right by the water, so you won't miss it!
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Moorea. Starting from the main village of Maharepa, cycle east along the coastal road. Continue on the main road towards 'Āfareaitu, which is about a 20-minute ride. As you approach PK 8, look for signs toward Te Ora Hau Ecolodge. The lodge will be on your right, just after you pass a small beach area.
Walking
If you are in 'Āfareaitu, you can easily walk to Te Ora Hau Ecolodge. From the center of 'Āfareaitu, head down toward the coast and follow the main road (PK 8). It’s about a 30-minute walk. Keep an eye out for the ecolodge’s sign on your right as you proceed along the road. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Moorea. Simply ask the driver to take you to Te Ora Hau Ecolodge located at Afareaitu PK 8. The taxi drivers are familiar with the area and the ride should take about 15 minutes from Maharepa, depending on traffic.
