Boat
To reach Ia Orana Pearl Farm, take a boat from Raiatea to Taha'a. Local boat services operate from the main marina in Raiatea, near the main town, to Taha'a. The boat ride takes approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on sea conditions. Upon arriving at the Taha'a dock, take a taxi boat or walk to the pearl farm, following signs towards Tapu'amu. Ask locals for directions to the pearl farm. Boat transportation from Raiatea to Taha'a is about $13 per person.
Car
If traveling by car from the main town of Taha'a, head south on the main road towards Tapu'amu. Continue driving for approximately 10 minutes. Look for signs indicating the direction to Ia Orana Pearl Farm at 9FW5+XVC, Unnamed Road, Tahaa. The pearl farm will be on the left-hand side, with parking available nearby. Car rentals start at 9,700 XPF (US$121) a day.
Public Transportation
Catch a local bus from Taha'a's main town towards Tapu'amu. Buses run approximately every hour. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Ia Orana Pearl Farm. Walk about 10 minutes south along the main road to the pearl farm at 9FW5+XVC, Unnamed Road, Tahaa. Check the bus schedule in advance to plan your return trip. Bus fare is approximately 450 XPF one-way.
