Getting There

    The trailhead for Mt. Pahia is located near the southeastern part of the island, approximately 7 km from Vaitape, the main village of Bora Bora. From Vaitape, head towards the main road (Route de l'Intérieur) and follow the signs for the hiking trail. The trailhead is located near G725+3MJ, Bora-Bora. You will find a small parking area at the trailhead.

  • Public Transport

    From your hotel, take a local bus or shuttle service to Vaitape. Once in Vaitape, ask the driver to drop you off at the junction leading to the Mt. Pahia trailhead. This journey should take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. After being dropped off, walk towards the designated parking area near G725+3MJ, Bora-Bora, where the hiking trail begins. Public transport on the Tahitian islands is called 'le Truck'.

    Taxis are available in Bora Bora, but there are a limited number of taxi companies, and rides tend to be quite pricey, especially after 7 pm. Your resort can help you book a taxi to the trailhead. Pre-arrange any rides ahead of time. Expect to pay around 3,000-5,000 XPF for a taxi from Vaitape to the trailhead.
