Car
If you are driving from Batumi, take E70 towards Poti. After approximately 15 km, take the exit towards Gonio/Apsaros. Follow the signs for Gonio-Apsaros Fortress. The fortress is located about 5 km from the main road, and there is ample parking available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
From Batumi, you can take a local minibus (marshrutka) heading towards Sarpi or Poti. Get off at the Gonio stop. The marshrutka ride costs about 1 GEL. Once you get off, follow the signs to Gonio-Apsaros Fortress, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you arrive at the Gonio stop by minibus, walk towards the fortress by following the signs. You will pass through a small village and see local shops along the way. The path is straightforward, and it takes roughly 20 minutes on foot to reach the fortress.
