Getting There

Walking
From the center of Akhaltsikhe, head southeast on Lado Asatiani Street towards Gagarin Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Gagarin Street, then turn left. Walk along Gagarin Street until you reach the bus station, which is approximately 700 meters from the center. At the bus station, look for a marshrutka (minibus) heading towards Zarzma. The marshrutka should have a sign indicating Zarzma or similar. The ride will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Zarzma, disembark at the nearest stop, and you should see signs directing you to Zarzma Monastery. Follow these signs for about a 10-minute walk uphill to the monastery.

From the central square in Akhaltsikhe, walk to the nearby bus station located on the main road (approximately 5 minutes). Look for a marshrutka (minibus) that is going to Zarzma. These marshrutkas typically leave every 30 minutes or so. The journey to Zarzma will take around 20-25 minutes. After getting off at Zarzma, head towards the direction of the monastery following the road signs. It's about a 15-minute walk uphill to reach the Zarzma Monastery.
