Walking
From the central square of Akhaltsikhe (located near the Rabati Castle), head south on G. Chitaia Street. Follow this street for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe road (E691). At this point, you can either continue walking or take a minibus (marshrutka) heading towards Tiseli.
Minibus (Marshrutka)
If you decide to take the marshrutka, board one that’s heading towards Tiseli. The fare is usually around 1-2 Lari. The minibus will take you along the Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe road. Inform the driver that you are going to Slesis Cixe, and they will drop you off at a close point, typically at a crossroads near Tiseli.
Walking
Once you are dropped off near Tiseli, walk towards the fortress following the signs or asking locals for directions. Slesis Cixe is approximately a 15-minute walk from the drop-off point. Look for a trail leading uphill towards the fortress, which is located on a prominent hill and is visible from a distance.
Use Slesis Cixe as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
