Getting There

  • Car

    From Black Rock Mountain State Park, head southwest on Black Rock Mountain Road toward Hwy 441. After approximately 4 miles, turn right onto Hwy 441. Continue for about 15 miles until you reach the intersection with US-23 S. Merge onto US-23 S and follow the signs for Atlanta. After about 80 miles, take the exit toward GA-400 N. Merge onto GA-400 N, which will eventually turn into I-85 N. Continue on I-85 N for about 60 miles. Take exit 104 toward GA-316 E toward Athens. Follow GA-316 E for about 20 miles, then merge onto I-85 N again. After another 20 miles, take exit 106 toward US-29 N. Follow US-29 N for about 30 miles, then merge onto I-985 N. Continue on I-985 N for approximately 25 miles, then take the exit for US-129 N toward Gainesville. Follow US-129 N for about 40 miles until you reach the city of Gainesville. From Gainesville, follow the signs to GA-400 N, and then continue to Gudauri Recreational Area.
