Public Transport
To reach Chkhatiskari Waterfall via public transport, take a marshrutka (local minibus) from Pshavi to Bakurkhevi. The marshrutkas regularly depart from the main bus station in Pshavi. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around 2 GEL. Once in Bakurkhevi, walk approximately 3 km towards the waterfall following the signs for 'Chkhatiskari Waterfall'. Be prepared for some uneven terrain.
Car
When driving from Pshavi, head northwest on the main road towards Bakurkhevi for approximately 12 km. You'll pass through lush landscapes and small villages. Look for signs directing you towards 'Chkhatiskari Waterfall'. Take a left turn onto a smaller road marked with a sign for the waterfall and continue for about 2 km until you reach the parking area near the waterfall. Parking is free.
Walking
If you are in Bakurkhevi and prefer to walk to Chkhatiskari Waterfall, start from the village center and follow the main road heading towards the waterfall. The walk is about 1.5 kilometers and will take roughly 20-30 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, and make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path can be uneven in places.
