Start from Kutaisi city center, near the White Bridge. Head northeast on Tsereteli Street until you reach the intersection. Turn right onto Abashidze Street and continue straight. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach the bus station (Kutaisi Central Bus Station). From there, look for a mini-bus (marshrutka) heading to Gelati Monastery. The marshrutka will take you directly to the monastery area. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs to Gelati Monastery, which is a short walk from where the bus drops you off.
Public Transport
From the Kutaisi city center, walk to the central bus station located on the main road. Look for a marshrutka heading towards Motsameta or Gelati. Make sure to confirm with the driver that the bus goes to Gelati Monastery. The journey will take around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop for Gelati Monastery, you will see signs directing you to the entrance of the monastery, which is a short distance from the bus stop.
