Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the main square in Mtskheta, known as Svetitskhoveli Cathedral Square. From there, head towards the bus station located on the left side of the square. Once you reach the bus station, look for a marshrutka (minibus) heading to Tbilisi. The fare is usually around 1-2 GEL. The marshrutka will take you to Tbilisi in about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to tell the driver you need to get off at the stop for the Mother of Georgia Tramway.

    Once you arrive in Tbilisi, you will want to head to the tramway station. After getting off the marshrutka, walk towards the nearest metro station called 'Avlabari'.
