Walking
From the center of Mtskheta, start at the Jvari Monastery bus stop. Head south on the main street (Mtskheta's main square) towards the river. Cross the bridge over the Kura River. Once you reach the other side, continue straight until you arrive at the intersection with the street leading to the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Keep walking straight and take the first right onto a smaller path that leads towards the riverbank. Follow this path along the river until you see a sign for 'კუნძული მცხეთა'. The walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes.
Public Transport
From Mtskheta, take a local minibus (marshrutka) heading to Tbilisi. Get off at the stop closest to the Kura River. After disembarking, walk towards the river and follow the bank downstream. Look for signs directing you to 'კუნძული მცხეთა'. The total travel time, including waiting for the marshrutka, should be about 30-40 minutes.
Bicycle
If you are renting a bicycle, start from the center of Mtskheta and head towards the Kura River. Ride along the river path, enjoying the scenic views. Follow the bike trail that leads downstream until you see the signs for 'კუნძული მცხეთა'. This route is approximately 5 kilometers and should take about 15-20 minutes of biking.
