    From the Okatse Canyon Visitor Centre, the primary access to the canyon involves a 2.5km walk through the Dadiani historic forest to reach the start of the suspended walkway. The path is mainly descending, making the return a constant ascent. Alternatively, you can hire a jeep/taxi from the visitor center to reduce the walking distance. A jeep ride costs approximately 50-60 GEL per car for a round trip.

  • Public Transport

    To reach Okatse Canyon using public transport from Kutaisi, take a marshrutka (minibus) from the Kutaisi central bus station towards Khoni. From Khoni, transfer to another marshrutka heading to Gordi village. The visitor center is approximately 2km from Gordi, which can be covered by taxi or walking. The total cost is around 4 GEL for the marshrutka from Kutaisi to Khoni and Khoni to Gordi. A taxi from Gordi to the visitor center may cost extra.

The canyon itself stretches for approximately 14 kilometers, with depths ranging from 20 to 100 meters. The 2.5km hike takes you through the historic Dadiani forests, where you can see the ruins of the Dadiani princes' 18th-century palace.
