If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Akhaltsikhe. Head northwest on E60 for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with the V77 road. Turn left onto V77 and follow it for about 25 kilometers until you reach Chkopiani. The castle is located at V77G+W3X, an unnamed road in Chkopiani. There is no entry fee for the castle, but make sure to have your vehicle fuelled as there are limited services in the area.

For those using public transportation, take a marshrutka (shared minibus) from Akhaltsikhe to Chkopiani. Marshrutkas leave from the main bus station in Akhaltsikhe and the journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Chkopiani, you may need to walk or take a taxi to reach the castle, which is about 3 kilometers from the marshrutka drop-off point. Taxis are available in the village, and the fare should not exceed 5 GEL.
