There is a parking area near the fortress, and no fees are required for parking.

To reach Khertvisi Fortress via public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Akhaltsikhe to Vardzia. Marshrutkas leave regularly from the central bus station in Akhaltsikhe.
