If you are traveling by car, the best way to reach Paravani Lake is by taking the E60 highway from Akhaltsikhe. Continue on E60 until you reach the village of Paravani. From Paravani, follow the signs towards Paravani Lake, which is approximately 10 km away. The drive will take you through beautiful landscapes, and you may want to stop for photos along the way. Make sure to check your fuel beforehand, as there are limited gas stations in this area.
Public Transportation
For travelers using public transportation, start by taking a minibus (marshrutka) from Akhaltsikhe to the village of Paravani. The marshrutka departs from the central bus station in Akhaltsikhe and the fare is typically around 5 GEL. Once you arrive in Paravani, you can either walk to the lake (roughly a 10 km walk) or hire a local taxi, which should cost around 20-30 GEL for the round trip. Be aware that taxi services may not be readily available, so it’s advisable to arrange one in advance if possible.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Akhaltsikhe directly to Paravani Lake. The fare for a taxi can range from 40 to 60 GEL depending on negotiation and the time of day.
