From Tbilisi, take a marshrutka (minibus) to Akhaltsikhe, which typically departs from the Didube Bus Station. The journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours and costs around 15-20 GEL. Once in Akhaltsikhe, transfer to another marshrutka heading to Akhalkalaki. This leg of the journey will take approximately 40 minutes and cost around 5 GEL. After arriving in Akhalkalaki, you can take a taxi to Vardzia Resort, which is about a 15-20 minute ride costing around 15-20 GEL.
