Car
If you are driving, head towards the town of Akhaltsikhe, which is the main hub in Samtskhe-Javakheti. From Akhaltsikhe, take the road towards the village of Zarzma. Follow the signs for 'Zarzma Monastery'. The monastery is located approximately 10 km from Akhaltsikhe on Zarzma Monastery Road. Keep an eye out for the MMH3+WG5 marker, which indicates the location of the monastery.
Public Transportation
To reach Zarzma Monastery using public transport, first take a marshrutka (minibus) from Akhaltsikhe to the village of Zarzma. Marshrutkas leave from the central bus station in Akhaltsikhe and cost around 1-2 GEL. Once you arrive in Zarzma, you can either walk to the monastery, which is approximately a 15-minute walk, or you may arrange for a local taxi for about 5-10 GEL to take you directly to the monastery entrance.
Walking
If you are already in the village of Zarzma and wish to walk to the monastery, start from the village center and follow the signs leading to Zarzma Monastery. The path is well-marked and should take about 15-20 minutes on foot, with some uphill sections, so wear comfortable shoes.
