Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards the city of Gori, which is a central hub in Shida Kartli. From Gori, take the Tbilisi-Gori highway (E117) and follow the signs for Ortubani. After approximately 15 km, take the exit toward Ortubani. Continue on the local road for about 5 km until you reach the WQX6+R36 address. You'll find Mzovreti Monastery located just off the main road. There is no entrance fee to visit the monastery, but parking may be limited, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation
To reach Mzovreti Monastery using public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Gori to Ortubani. Marshrutkas leave from the Gori bus station regularly, and the fare is typically around 1 GEL. Once in Ortubani, you may need to walk approximately 15-20 minutes to reach the monastery, following local signs or asking locals for directions. Be mindful that public transport schedules can vary, so it’s wise to confirm the return times to Gori in advance.
Walking
If you are already in Ortubani and prefer to walk, the monastery is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the center of the village. Start from the central square and head towards WQX6+R36. Follow the road signs or use a mobile map application for precise navigation. The area may have limited pedestrian pathways, so be cautious while walking alongside the road.
