Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Mestia, the capital of Svaneti. Drive south on the main road (E117) towards Ushguli. The drive takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on road conditions. As you approach Ushguli, you'll pass through the village of Zhabeshi. Follow the signs to Ushguli and keep an eye on your GPS for the coordinates: 42.9183615, 43.0196324. Once you reach Ushguli, look for the signs directing you to Lamaria Church, which is located approximately a 10-minute walk from the car park.

If you prefer public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Mestia to Ushguli. Marshrutkas leave regularly from the central bus station in Mestia. The fare is approximately 10 GEL and the journey takes about 1.5 hours.
