Discover more about Dry Bridge Market

The Dry Bridge Market (Mshrali Khidi) is one of Tbilisi's most beloved attractions, offering a fascinating glimpse into Georgia's history and culture. Located near the Presidential Palace, this bustling marketplace has been a daily hub since the 1950s. What began as a small gathering of locals selling their possessions has evolved into a sprawling market that attracts locals and tourists. The market is staged on the Dry Bridge and in the adjacent Dedaena and 9 March parks. The bridge itself was built between 1847 and 1851 and got its nickname in the 1940s after a branch of the Mtkvari River was redirected. Here, you can find everything from vintage goods and antique coins to Soviet kitsch and contemporary Georgian art. Known as the "market of memories," it's particularly famous for items from the Soviet era. You'll find medals, symbolic Soviet items, enamel engravings, silver jewelry, antique dishware, radio sets, and ornate swords. Local artists display their work in the nearby park, offering paintings, scarves, and handcrafted goods. The Dry Bridge Market is open daily, but weekends are the busiest. The best time to visit is from 11:00 AM onwards. Be prepared to bargain, as prices may be inflated for tourists. Most vendors only accept cash.
