Discover more about Nutsubidze Skybridge

Rising from the Nutsubidze district, the Skybridge is more than just an apartment complex; it's a symbol of a utopian vision captured in concrete and stark geometry. Constructed between 1974 and 1976 by architects Otar Kalandarishvili and Gizo Potskhishvili, the Skybridge was intended to be part of a larger network connecting neighborhoods. Although the full plan never materialized, the remaining structure stands as a testament to ambitious urban planning and Soviet ideals. The Skybridge comprises three concrete apartment blocks linked by metal walkways, creating a unique residential hub. These bridges offer access to stunning views of Tbilisi's skyline. The buildings have been home to families for decades, their stories woven into the structure, transforming the cold Brutalism into something personal and lived-in. Exploring the Skybridge offers a glimpse into Tbilisi's past and present. The act of walking between apartment buildings becomes an adventure, connecting you to the structure and the stories of its residents. The Skybridge has been renovated in 2025, with modifications made to the bridges, including paved concrete, repainted safety railings and a ramp at the upper entrance.
