    From Tbilisi, take Metro Line 1 to Didube station. At Didube bus station, transfer to a marshrutka (minibus) heading towards Tianeti. Inform the driver you wish to stop at Tskhvarichamia. The marshrutka ride takes approximately 1 hour. From the Tskhvarichamia stop, walk towards Tbilisi-Tianeti road to find the sanctuary. Marshrutka fare from Tbilisi to Tskhvarichamia is approximately 5-15 GEL.

    From Mtskheta city center, head northeast on the main road towards Tbilisi-Tianeti. Continue for approximately 15 km, passing through small villages. Look for signs leading to the Zoological Center Bears Sanctuary. The sanctuary is located at Tbilisi-Tianeti, Tskhvarichamia 3300. On-site parking is available. A taxi from Mtskheta to the sanctuary may cost around 35 GEL.

  • Walking

    From Mtskheta city center (Shota Rustaveli Square), head northeast on Kostava Street. Continue to the intersection with Tsereteli Street and turn left. Walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers, passing through landscapes until you reach Tbilisi-Tianeti road. The sanctuary is on the right, just beyond the junction with Tskhvarichamia Street. Note: This is a lengthy walk.
