Funicular

The most scenic way to reach Mtatsminda Park is via the Tbilisi Funicular. The lower station is located on Chonkadze Street. Purchase a Mtatsminda card for 2 GEL and load it with credit for the funicular ride. A one-way trip costs 10 GEL. The funicular operates from 9:00 AM to midnight.

Mtatsminda Park, located on top of Mount Mtatsminda at a height of 770 meters, is one of Tbilisi's most iconic landmarks. The park offers a wide array of attractions, including an 80-meter-high Ferris wheel, roller coasters, water slides, and a dark ride called Ghost Castle. Founded in the Soviet era in the 1930s, Mtatsminda Park was once the third most visited park in the USSR. In 2001, it began its transformation into a modern theme park. Today, the park is divided into three zones: extreme, family, and kids, offering something for every age group. Besides the rides, Mtatsminda Park features restaurants, cafes, shops, and relaxation zones. The Tbilisi TV Tower is also located within the park. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the city from various points within the park. The Mtatsminda Pantheon, where many of Georgia's most prominent figures are buried, is located nearby.
