    If you are driving from the village of Omalo in Tusheti, head southwest on the main road out of the village. Continue along the road, which will take you through the picturesque landscape of Tusheti. After about 30 km, you will reach the town of Dartlo. From Dartlo, follow the signs towards Zemo Svaneti. The journey will take you approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Be prepared for narrow and winding roads. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for mountain driving. There are no tolls on this route, but you may need to pay for parking near the park entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Zemo Svaneti via public transport from Tusheti, first, take a marshrutka (shared taxi) from Omalo to Stepantsminda. Marshrutkas usually leave when full; the journey takes about 2 hours. From Stepantsminda, you will need to find another marshrutka or taxi heading towards Zemo Svaneti. Confirm with the driver or local guides as the availability of transport may vary. The total cost for the marshrutkas is roughly 15-20 GEL. Make sure to carry cash as not all drivers accept cards.
