If you're driving from Uplistsikhe, head northwest on the main road (E117) towards the village of Mtskheta. Continue on E117 for about 20 km until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Vardzia. Turn left onto the road leading to Khertvisi-Vardzia-Mirashkhani. After approximately 30 km, you will see signs for Vanis Kvabebi. Follow the signs, and you'll arrive at the site. There is usually no entrance fee, but check for any updates on local charges.
Public Transport
To reach Vanis Kvabebi via public transport, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Uplistsikhe to Mtskheta. The ride takes about 30 minutes and costs around 2 GEL. Once in Mtskheta, you will need to transfer to another marshrutka heading towards Vardzia. Ensure you confirm with the driver that they stop at Khertvisi-Vardzia-Mirashkhani. The journey will take about an hour, costing an additional 5 GEL. From the drop-off point, it is a short walk to Vanis Kvabebi. Always double-check the return schedules to avoid being stranded.

If you are adventurous and enjoy hiking, you can walk from Uplistsikhe to Vanis Kvabebi. The distance is approximately 10 km, and it will take around 2-3 hours.
