Car
From Vardzia, head east on the main road (E117) towards Akhaltsikhe. Continue for approximately 7 km until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Mtskheta. Turn left onto the Mtskheta road and continue for about 25 km. Follow the signs to Jvari Monastery, which will be on your right side. There is a parking area available near the monastery.

To reach Jvari Monastery from Vardzia by public transport, first take a minibus (marshrutka) from Vardzia to Akhaltsikhe. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Akhaltsikhe, you can take another marshrutka heading towards Mtskheta. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Jvari Monastery. Once you get off, it will be a short walk (about 15-20 minutes) uphill to the monastery. Be sure to check the schedules as they can vary.
