    From Aachen city center, take bus line 16 directly to the 'Tierpark' stop. Alternatively, take other high-frequency bus lines to the 'Zeppelinstraße' stop, from which it is a 9-minute walk to the zoo. A short bus ride within Aachen costs €2.80.

    Walking

    From Aachen-Rothe Erde train station, it is approximately a 15-minute walk to the zoo. Follow Drimbornstraße, then turn onto Obere Drimbornstraße to reach the entrance.

    Car

    Limited parking is available in front of the Euregiozoo. Additional parking can be found along Adenauerallee. Note that Aachen has a low-emission zone, so ensure your vehicle has the required green sticker or obtain an exemption. Parking garages are available in Aachen, with over 9,100 spaces. Consider using Park & Ride options outside the city center and taking the bus. Park & Ride tickets, for up to five people, cost €5.

    Drimborner Wäldchen, the enchanting woodland in Aachen, Germany, is home to the Euregiozoo. This 8.9-hectare zoo, opened in 1966, houses over 700 animals from around 100 different species. From exotic birds to Asian camels and native European animals, the zoo offers a colorful array of interesting inhabitants. The history of the area dates back to the 15th century, with a copper smelter and dye works once located here. In the late 18th century, the area was transformed into an English-style garden. Today, the zoo is known for its commitment to animal welfare, providing spacious enclosures that mimic natural habitats. Visitors can explore the zoo's winding paths, discover the petting zoo, and relax by the ponds that are home to 70 species of waterfowl. A Roman sarcophagus, dating back to 1793, can also be found within the park. The zoo is dedicated to education and conservation, making it a valuable experience for visitors of all ages.
