    From Neuschönau, take the Igelbus (hedgehog bus) to the 'Lusen National Park Centre' stop, which is directly at the Baumwipfelpfad. Several Igelbus lines serve this route. Check the Bayerwald-Ticket website for schedules. Using the Igelbus gives a discount of 1 Euro on the entrance fee upon showing the ticket. The GUTi guest card, provided by many accommodations in the Bavarian Forest, allows free travel on almost all buses and the forest railway around the National Park. A single bus fare is approximately €2-€4.

  • Walking

    From the center of Neuschönau, the Baumwipfelpfad is approximately a 15-minute walk. Follow the signs for Baumwipfelpfad along Böhmstraße. The path is well-marked and leads directly to the entrance. There are no costs associated with walking.

  • Driving

    From the B85 road, follow the signs to Neuschönau. Once in Neuschönau, follow the signs directing you to Baumwipfelpfad. There is a parking area available near the entrance. Parking costs approximately €1 per hour, €2 for 2 hours, €3 for 3 hours, €4 for 4 hours. A day ticket costs €2. During peak season, the parking area may be full.

Along the path, adventure stations with rope and wobbly bridges, trapezes, and balancing beams can be found. The tower itself encases three ancient fir and beech trees.
