If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Altmark and head towards Salzwedel. Take the B71 road heading north. Once in Salzwedel, follow signs for 'Schwarzer Berg'. As you approach Schwarzer Berg, look for the Bismarckturm, which is located on a hill and visible from the road. There is a small parking area nearby where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
To reach Bismarckturm Salzwedel using public transportation, begin at the nearest train station in Altmark. Take a train to Salzwedel (approximately 30 minutes, ticket costs around €5-€10). Upon arrival at Salzwedel train station, exit and catch a local bus (line 200 towards 'Schwarzer Berg') that will take you close to the tower. The bus ride should take about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Schwarzer Berg' and follow the short walking path leading up to Bismarckturm.
Walking
If you are already in Salzwedel and prefer to walk, you can start from the town center. Head towards 'Schwarzer Berg', which is about a 30-minute walk. Follow 'Lange Straße' until it turns into 'Schwarzer Berg'. The path will lead you directly to Bismarckturm, and you will enjoy the scenic views along the way.
