If you're already in Tangermünde, reaching the castle is an easy walk. From the town center, head towards the Elbe River and follow the signs for 'Schloss'. The walk should take approximately 10-15 minutes. The castle is located at Amt 1, 39590 Tangermünde.

From Stendal, take the train to Tangermünde. The train journey takes about 13 minutes. From the Tangermünde train station, it is approximately a 20-minute walk to the castle. Alternatively, take a local bus from the train station to a stop closer to the city center, reducing the walking time. A single bus fare costs around €2-€3. Note: As of April 22, 2025, Stendalbus has launched a pilot project called “Tango”, an on-demand service for Tangermünde and Tangerhütte.
